Gas Detection
One of the most popular gas transmitters attains approval for Ex zone 2
Jul 14 2020
The transmitters of the 22 series from GfG are used in thousands of applications worldwide. One of the most popular models, the CC22 for monitoring combustible gases and vapours, is now available as CC22ex in a version for use in Ex zone 2.
The CC22ex transmitter with its flameproof sensor is used to detect combustible gases and vapours in ambient air down to the lower explosion limit under atmospheric conditions. Customers can choose from a variety of sensors, from A for ammonia to X for xylene. The CC22ex has a digital RS485 interface. Communication is based on the Modbus (RTU) protocol.
The transmitter CC22ex doesn't feature a display. Various operating states are signalled via a three-coloured status LED. A green LED essentially signals readiness for operation in normal measuring mode. A yellow LED essentially signals a special state such as a fault or service operation. The red LED signals that the measuring range has been exceeded in measuring mode.
