Gas Analyser
High Spec Gas Analyser Offers a Reliable Solution to a Host of Applications
Apr 05 2018
The Rapidox 7100 Multigas Analyser, from Cambridge Sensotec is a high specification instrument designed to analyse, control and monitor process gas in an extensive range of industries. It allows operators to select multiple gas sensing configurations to suit their specific application. The analyser is housed within a 19″ /482mm enclosure for convenient mounting into an industry standard test equipment rack.
Up to six gases can be measured simultaneously using a range of high precision gas sensors; each especially designed and calibrated to deter the effect of cross interference with the background process gas. The inclusion of flashback arrestors in the gas measuring circuit ensures operator safety. The Rapidox 7100 Multigas Analyser can measure a variety of gases including, among others; CO2, CO, H2O, O2, C2H4, SO2, CH4, H2 and H2S.
For applications where the gases are energy containing, such as Biogas and Syngas, the calorific value of the gas sample is determined using thermodynamic calculations and simultaneously logged and displayed on-screen.
An optional pump is available to enable two modes of operation. For samples taken from a gas source at atmospheric pressure or below, the pump will draw a sample through the analyser. The pump can be deactivated when sampling from a source at greater than atmospheric, enabling the gas to flow through the analyser. Gas flow is regulated manually via a rotary switch on the instrument face and displayed electronically on the screen.
The analyser includes two fully programmable alarm circuits (volt free contacts), programmable analogue outputs (0-10V and 4-20mA), easy calibration (user selectable gases), RS232 / RS485 communications and complete data-logging software as standard.
A 7″/180mm colour touch screen interface with soft menu keys enables easy operation in both permanent monitoring and sampling modes. All data is continuously logged for review and inspection and Excel compatible data can be downloaded with a USB memory stick.
A range of Rapidox servicing options is available. Regular calibration considerably increases the measurement reliability and repeatability of gas analysers. Cambridge Sensotec offer a full service through cutting edge automated stations, devised to calibrate Rapidox gas analysers accurately and efficiently.
