New Range Of Automatic and Semi-Automatic Distillation Units
Feb 07 2011
VELP Scientifica (Italy) launches its new range of four UDK Series Distillation Units with a choice of automation features. UDK 129 is the entry level UDK 139 is the semi-automatic solution; UDK 149 and 159 are fully automatic. Various titrator, including the Titroline Easy available from VELP, can be connected to the UDK 149, while the UDK 159 incorporates colorimetric titration, the technology recommended in the AOAC standard.
These distillation units are designed for applications such as determining ammoniacal nitrogen, protein nitrogen, (Kjeldahl or direct alkaline distillation), nitric nitrogen (after reduction), phenols, volatile fatty acids, cyanides, alcohol content and Devarda nitrogen determination.
All units have informative displays ranging from a 2-line readout for messages up to large, multi-function and colored touch screens with powerful yet easy-to-use software displayed in a convenient language.
Unlike glass condensers, the titanium condenser ensures that the distillate temperature remains below the temperature threshold whereby there is no loss of nitrogen in order to guarantee an accurate analysis. For this reason the UDK series has the most efficient performance ever!
With operator safety in mind, continuous monitoring ensures that all important operational characteristics are functioning correctly. The automatic addition of reagents depends on the model.
The UDK Series is the ideal answer to your need to produce reliable results according to standards such as AOAC, EPA, DIN and ISO while ensuring conformity to GLP.
