Outstanding Innovative Spirit, Customer Orientation and Social Commitment Constitute the Key for Success

Nov 25 2011

The development and production of miniature pumps for high-end applications in environmental and analysis technology has made Schwarzer (Germany) the company winner of the „Großer Preis des Mittelstands“ in Düsseldorf. The distinguished award granted by the Oskar-Patzelt Stiftung foundation is Germany’s chief economic award to small to medium-sized businesses. After the final participation in 2010 Schwarzer Precision now finally belongs to the business elite in Germany.

Dr. Christoph Hartmann, Minister for Economy and Science of the German state of Saarland and patron of the award gala emphasized the importance of the award during his commemorative speech: „The price winners belong to the elite of Germany’s small and medium-sized businesses; they shape the image of their regions.” The business owners assume economic and social responsibility, contribute to the community and their influence is pronounced. An economically attractive and socially vital region in Germany needs a strong small to medium-sized business sector to achieve permanent success."

The beginnings with aquarium pumps in 1970 have evolved today into high-precision miniature pumps for high-end applications. Worldwide areas of application include, apart from Formula 1 racing and aerospace, environmental and technology. These are sensitive areas where precision, durability and supply reliability are absolutely vital. While the pumps became smaller and smaller and technically increasingly sophisticated over the past years, Schwarzer was able to chart a healthy growth, also because of its own research and development department. Among others, this division deals with flow dynamics and micromechanics thus securing the competitive edge. This is complemented by a modular system based on many years of development experience. This approach allows the components to be precisely adapted to customer requirements, an aspect that is appreciated all over the world.
