High energy ball mills for reproducible fine size reduction
May 11 2011
RETSCH Planetary Ball Mills are used wherever the highest degree of fineness is required to produce representative samples for subsequent analysis. Apart from the classical mixing and size reduction processes, the mills also meet all the technical requirements for colloidal grinding. The extremely high centrifugal forces of the Planetary Ball Mills result in very high pulverization energy and therefore short grinding times.
The mills are available with 1, 2 or 4 grinding stations and process products such as electronic scrap, waste, wood, minerals, soils, plants or sewage sludge.
The freely selectable machine settings, comprehensive range of grinding jars made from 6 different materials, as well as the numerous possible ball charge combinations (number and ball size) allow individual adaptation of the grinding parameters to the sample requirements.
Thanks to safety features such as an automatic compensation of vibrations (FFCS technology), programmable starting time and automatic grinding chamber ventilation, RETSCH planetary ball mills can be operated unsupervised for many hours.
