A precise, durable and versatile combination of spectrophotometer and powder pillow reagents

MACHEREY-NAGEL’s new product range of powder pillow reagents is now also available for their latest spectrophotometer: the NANOCOLOR® VIS II. The combination of VISOCOLOR® Powder Pillows and NANOCOLOR® VIS II gives extremely precise results, with durable, long-term stable reagents which are used in all kinds of drinking water and waste water analysis.

The clear, high-resolution touch screen display makes your daily measurement routine a real pleasure. On the technical side, the NANOCOLOR® VIS II impresses with intelligent mechanics and optics. A unique aspect of the NANOCOLOR® VIS II is that it features an integrated nephelometric turbidity (NTU) measurement function. An advantage of this measurement is the integrated NTU-Check function, which allows the detection of interfering turbidity with every powder pillow measurement – an unprecedented measurement feature in the field of powder pillow reagents.

VISOCOLOR® Powder Pillows combine easy dosing of reagents with long-term stability. Every powder pillow contains the exact amount of reagent, which is needed for one determination. There is no chance of reagent contamination. Therefore, the shelf life of these reagent kits is up to five years. All necessary information for quality assurance, as test name, LOT and expiry date is printed on every powder pillow to ensure the highest level of measurement safety. No scissors or spoons are required to open or dose the powder pillow reagents directly into the test tube, which ensures maximum measurement integrity.

VISOCOLOR® Powder Pillows are available for many different parameters important for drinking water, wastewater and general water analysis. The newest parameters are nitrate and iron. The other available parameters are: chlorine free, chlorine total, iron, nitrate, ozone, pH, silica and sulphate.

All VISOCOLOR® Powder Pillows parameters are pre-programmed methods on the NANOCOLOR® VIS II from stock. All methods have pre-programmed blank values and therefore do not require a blank measurement, which saves time. Easy to understand pictograms and written instructions in six different languages are available for all powder pillow parameters. For all these reasons VISOCOLOR® Powder Pillows in combination with the NANOCOLOR® VIS II give safe and reliable results even by unskilled users.
