Extended Product Portfolio of MEMS Based Infrared Sources
Oct 01 2010
The IR source from Leister (Switzerland) is a blackbody emitter, based on a MEMS chip. Its main characteristics are rugged design, high emissivity (0.95), low power consumption and long lifetime (>10 years). The high modulation speed of up to 100 Hz is achieved due to the low thermal mass of the MEMS chip.
Application fields include FTIR spectroscopy, gas detection by NDIR, photo acoustic (PAS) and attenuated total reflection (ATR) for anaesthesia gas monitoring, evidential breath alcohol testing, Alcolock, refrigerant monitoring, combustible gas detection etc.
The product range of standard IR sources includes versions with protective cap or reflector, combined with either sapphire, CaF2, BaF2 or Germanium windows.
Our optical engineers assist you in customizing the IR source for your optical path and mechanical setup resulting in an optimized operation of the IR source concerning power on detector and lifetime.
