Safeguarding Sensitive Samples from Thermal Degradation...
Jul 01 2010
SampleGuard™ temperature control, available as an option on the HT-Series evaporator systems from Genevac (UK), protects sensitive environmental samples from any possibility of overheating when evaporation is complete.
The unique patented technique eliminates the possibility of thermal degradation - safeguarding valuable samples and removing the need for further time consuming method development.
SampleGuard™ is sample protection system that ensures smooth evaporation and fast drying times without overheating your samples. Comprising two thermocouples and a unique sample temperature radio transmitter, SampleGuard™ provides real time feedback, thus allowing accurate control of actual sample temperatures.
SampleGuard™ probes can measure temperature at any point in the sample holder. Either one or two probes can be used to accurately and reliably determine end-of-run, enabling the system to be easily set for optimal performance and automatic shutdown, making it ideal for the multi-user environment. Unlike some thermocouple based systems it is not necessary to place a probe into a sample to be able to end the run automatically. Software in the HT systems detects the flow of energy through the sample holders and can detect the onset of dryness, stopping the process automatically, and preventing over processing of samples.
