Quantitech Launches New AA Mercury Analyser
Sep 30 2009
Instrumentation specialist Quantitech (UK) has announced the release of the latest instrument in the Teledyne Leeman Labs range of elemental analysers – the Hydra IIAA Automated Mercury Analyser. With advanced user-friendly software, fast sample throughput and a high capacity 270-position autosampler, the Hydra IIAA has been developed for speed, accuracy and productivity.
For the first time, it is possible to quickly swap the liquid handling module for a solids thermal combustion unit for direct solid analysis. This is a result of the Hydra IIAA’s modular design and offers the ultimate in flexibility and future-proof technology.
Dr Gareth Pearson, Quantitech’s elemental analysis specialist, believes that the new instrument will be extremely attractive to environmental laboratories, adding: "I have been amazed at the speed and simplicity of operation that the Hydra IIAA offers. Also the flexibility to upgrade a liquid mercury analyser to accommodate solids, without having to buy a new system, makes this system very attractive."
