MCERTS Compliance? No Problem
Sep 08 2011
MCERTS, the monitoring certification scheme introduced by the Environment Agency gives end-users and inspectors confidence in the quality of environmental measurements being made in the field. The scheme is now well established and covers a wide range of equipment and services, including on-line analysers and automatic samplers.
Quite rightly, the test procedures for measuring equipment are rigorous. Despite this, when Endress+Hauser (UK) launched a new range of samplers both the portable and stationary samplers passed with flying colours.
Endress+Hauser supplies samplers with an extensive range of options that enable you to specify a device to suit your applications exactly. These include varying sampling regimes, choices of inputs and outputs, relays, suction hose diameters, bottle configurations, dosing system level detectors and temperature measurements, to name but a few. All are important in ensuring a representative sample is collected and that it is preserved until it is able to be tested.
For specifiers and end users, the MCERTS award on Endress+Hauser’s new range of samplers gives complete confidence in their ability, reliability and accuracy. You can be assured that Endress+Hauser can supply a sampler configuration to provide all your application requirements.
Fixed auto sampler – Liquistation CSF48
The MCERTS accredited Liquistation sampler provides economic auto-sampling. Its standardised intuitive interface offers simple set-up and operation with minimal personnel training required. Available with four different kinds of housing from stainless steel to Luran for optimum chemical and weather resistance, the sampler can also be configured with a range of sample distribution options, from a 30 litre composite through to 24 x 1 litre bottles. The real bonus of a Liquistation is that it is fully upgradeable and can be easily expanded to include Memosens digital inputs, Liquistation can integrate pH/ORP, conductivity, turbidity, DO, nitrate and ammonium sensors.
Portable sampler – Liquiport 2010 CSP44
Portable water monitors (PWMs) used to monitor wastewater treatment, natural rivers, lakes and estuarine environments, boreholes and trade effluents are subject to the requirements of the MCERTS scheme. Utilising innovative Memosens digital sensor technology, up to two analytical sensors of varying parameters can be connected directly to the sampler controller. In addition to the sampling statistics, analytical measurements can be logged within the controller or in an optional integral SD card.
Water monitoring - Liquiline CM44
Take your MCERTS compliance to the next level with on-site monitoring of key consent parameters. Use the inputs on the CM44 to achieve a complete sampling and monitoring station for pH and turbidity. MCERTS certification is currently being processed and will be awarded in the very near future.
