Versatile Instrument Introduced for the Temperature-Dependent Differentiation of Carbon in Solids
Jun 30 2016
Elementar (Germany) have recently taken advantage of their industry-leading technology to develop the soli TOC cube: the most versatile analyser for temperature-dependent differentiation of carbon in solids.
In addition to the classical TOC determination by direct and subtraction acidification methods, temperature programming can be employed, which requires neither sample preparation nor the use of acids. In this mode, the soli TOC cube can operate with three-step as well as two-step temperature programming with innovative carrier gas switching for better separation of TEC and TIC.
Larger samples on the order of grams can be reliably analysed, thus making the soli TOC cube the perfect instrument for the precise analysis of inhomogeneous samples. Additionally, the use of a post-combustion catalyst ensures that even high carbon-content samples are quantitatively oxidised and achieve equally high measurement quality. For high sample throughput the instrument can run fully automated and unattended with its 92 position autosampler.
