World expecting "effective" environmental legislation deal in Copenhagen

The world is expecting a deal that is "fair, fast and effective" to be struck at the United Nations (UN) Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen later this year, it has been asserted.

Global charity WWF made its comments as it announced that it will be joining forces with Green TV in order to provide audiences with a view of the events set to take place at the symposium, which is due to be held between December 7th and 18th.

The project, called Inside COP15, aims to deliver both on-demand and live video news coverage of the event and provide details about the deals that are struck.

Martin Atkin, executive producer at WWF, stated that the project aims to bring to life the talks and environmental analysis that takes place.

"The world is watching and expecting a fair, fast and effective deal to get us out of the climate change mess," he added.
