A New CO2 Analyser for Bioprocesses
Mar 12 2014
The BCP-CO2 is a CO2 analyser for bioprocesses, from BlueSens GmbH (Germany). It is the ideal sensor for implementation in fermenters and bioreactors and is easy to install and can be connected to any process line system without difficulties thanks to the standardised data interfaces. It can be used from the pilot scale to the production scale. With this sensor you can understand your bioprocess in real-time. The BCP-CO2 is particularly suited for use in parallel bioreactors. For example, it helps to optimise the operation of bio-processing online. The compact sensors of the range BCP-CO2 can be integrated without any problems directly in the gas line. The low-maintenance sensor excels with its very low operating costs. You can connect the sensor directly to a shake flask or to a fermenter. The CO2 content can be determined directly and locally, no matter what the throughput volume is. The time required for tests in the laboratory is reduced. Additional gas coolers, pumps or valves for gas measurement are not required. The BCP-CO2 can be connected to any process line system without difficulties thanks to the standardised data interfaces. In connection with optional software you can use the BCP-CO2 sensor to determine the CER rate of your process.
