New Line of Spectrophotometers Specially Designed for Wireless Communication

The new line of Secomam spectrophotometers, from Aqualabo (France), is a range of connected devices specially designed to be used with a computer or a tablet by means of hard-wired or wireless (Bluetooth) communication.

These new products offer the advantage of not having a screen, or keyboard, which means there are fewer electronic components which in turn results in a lower, more attractive price. They only have four LEDs to indicate when the power is on, when the light is on, and when the device receives or sends data.

Connectivity with a PC or tablet is very simple, hard-wired or wireless using the Bluetooth link, it offers many advantages such as: Ease of use, Printout of the results on any printer installed on the PC, Use of a video projector, Storage on the PC’s hard drive or on the network, Direct saving as a pdf or csv file, Use the mouse and PC keyboard.

To run these Spectrophotometers, a new software is available: SpectraLab. This simple but powerful software has been designed to control the new Uviline Connect, but it works also with PRIMs and PHOTOPODs.

It is compatible with all computers or touch-sensitive tablets running Windows (32- and 64-bit, except Windows RT and Windows CE). The interface is streamlined, and offers a self-adapting virtual keyboard for use on a touch-sensitive screen.

The software features 5 measurement modes: Absorbance/Transmittance, Concentration, Kinetics, Spectrum and Multi-wavelength. The software's intuitive interface makes using each of these modes very easy.

The Uviline Connect range of spectrophotometers offers 3 products: Uviline Connect 810 and 910 are visible spectrophotometers, and the Uviline Connect 940 is a UV-visible spectrophotometer.

They use the best technologies to provide a perfect optical design: 1,200 L/mm holographic network for a minimal radiation interference, Wide spectral range: 320 to 1,100 nm on Uviline 810 and 910 / 190 to 1,100 nm on Uviline 940, High optical resolution: 6nm on Uviline 810 / 4nm on Uviline 910 and 940, Automatic compensation of ambient light, Fast scan speed, Automatic wavelength calibration.

A full range of accessories can supplement the spectrophotometer applications and improve their automation.
