Oct 27 2010
analytica China, which was held at the Shanghai New International Exhibition Center (SNIEC) exceeded industry expectations with 15,282 visitors from 66 countries. The number of exhibitors saw an increase of more than 30 percent compared to the last time that the fair was held: Some 468 companies from 22 countries exhibited at the exhibition center in Shanghai from September 15 – 17, and 40 percent of them were international companies.
"Within a very short period of time, analytica China has developed into a leading platform for analysis, laboratory technology, diagnostics and biology in China and Asia. The more than 30-percent increase in the number of exhibitors is the largest increase since the fair’s premiere in 2002", summarizes Norbert Bargmann, Deputy CEO of Messe München. "Continuous growth in the number of exhibitors and visitors since 2002 is a clear sign of the industry’s commitment to the Chinese market – now and in the future." That is also underscored by the high level of interest among international companies: 40 percent of all exhibitors were from countries other than China – coming from 21 countries around the world.
