Award winning technologies treat a wide range of toxic contaminants

ADVENTUS offers a globally field-proven portfolio of sustainable remediation biotechnologies for the treatment of impacted Groundwater, Soil and Sediment. Our award winning technologies treat a wide range of toxic contaminants through accelerated natural attenuation. Compounds treated at field-scale include: Chlorinated Solvents, Pesticides / Herbicides, Heavy Metals, Organic Explosives, and Petroleum Hydrocarbons.

We are not consultants, but seek to support environmental consultants, engineers, site owners, regulators and the academic community by helping provide unbiased design, and selection, of the most cost-effective remediation strategies. The product portfolio includes patented In-Situ Chemical Reduction (ISCR™) biotechnology reagents. The unique remediation capabilities of ISCR means:

- No mobilization of arsenic or other heavy metals.
- No metabolite accumulation (such as DCE or VC).
- No need for extensive water chase ("remediation" via dilution and displacement).
- No change in pH, or additional buffers required.

Core products include:

- DARAMEND® the original ISCR reagent for surface applications. Backed by the industry’s only true performance guarantee.
- EHC® the original injectable ISCR reagent for groundwater applications. Ideal for PRB installations.
- EHC-M® injectable ISCR reagent for heavy metals.
- EHC-A® aqueous, injectable ISCR reagent for addition to existing wells or injection networks.
- EHC-O® buffered source of controlled release oxygen, plus inorganic nutrients for accelerated aerobic bioremediation of petroleum hydrocarbons and related compounds.
- Permeable Reactive Barrier (PRB) technology using zero-valent iron (ZVI) for the remediation of groundwater impacted by chlorinated solvents.
- AquaBlok+™ horizontal reactive barrier matrixes for in-situ management of impacted sediments.
- ISGS™ for in-situ geochemical stabilization of DNAPL for the purposes of source removal and flux reduction. This facilitates accelerated natural attenuation of dissolved plumes.

As of October 2009, ADVENTUS has successfully treated millions of liters of groundwater, and more than 7,000,000 metric tons of soil impacted by hazardous wastes on 5 continents.
