Soil Testing
New Portable Soil Respiration System
Jun 17 2008
The ADC SRS2000 has been developed to enable environmental researchers to analyse short-term soilmicrobial activity, in the field, easier and more accurately than ever before. The highly portable SRS2000 comprises a control console and a specially designed soil respiration chamber
with an integral CO2 and H2O analysis system.
The complete compact system weighs only 5kg and is designed for rugged field use. Powered by a rechargeable battery, the systemwill operate continuously for up to 16 hours between charges.
Featuring the very latest in Infrared Gas Analysis technology, the SRS2000 CO2 and H2O analysis system is housed directly inside the soil chamber head, ensuring the fastest possible response time to soil flux changes. The soil chamber head itself has been designed to minimise
pressure gradients and be insensitive to external wind conditions. For more sophisticated experimentation, both CO2 and H2O concentrations may be accurately controlled within the soil chamber.
Experimental programming is simple using just 5 soft keys, whilst the large graphic display facilitates both the system programming and real time reviewing of data. Data storage is on easily exchangeable PC cards giving users unlimited capacity.
The ADC SRS2000 has been designed for a wide variety of environmental research applications including bioremediation, soil ecology and ecophysiology.
A range of easily interchangeable plant photosynthesis chamber heads is available for use with the SRS2000 making it a highly versatile system for any environmental research facility.
