EPA Method 535 Reference Standards Now Available
Oct 29 2007
AccuStandard (USA) announced that a full set of standards designed for use with EPA Method 535 is available to laboratories as standards for method development and quality control. This includes standards for all 12 compounds plus the internal standard and the surrogate standard, for a total of 14 compounds in the set.
EPA Method 535 is designed for the determination of six acetamide herbicides in the form of both ethanesulfonic acid (ESA) derivatives and oxanilic acid (OA) degradates in drinking water. This method uses LC/MS/MS for both identification and quantitation. These compounds are very difficult to analyze by gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC/MS), the more traditional technique for environmental analysis. This highly anticipated new EPA Method will take effect on January 1, 2008.
AccuStandard offers over 35,000 Organic and Inorganic chemical reference standards. AccuStandard supplies, manufactures and also synthesizes standards for the environmental, industrial and petrochemical industries. Recognized for its wide range of both routine and rare standards, AccuStandard’s Quality System is certified to both ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 17025.
