Four global acquisitions for leading calibration specialists

Trescal Group have recently announced  four acquisitions. The calibration specialists have expanded their geographical coverage within the Asia-Pacific by acquiring Korea Testing Instruments Calibration Center (KTICC) in Seoul, along with IPAC Solutions in Australia. Further more they have broadened their coverage in Brazil with the acquisition of Instituto Amazonense de Metrologia (IAM) and added 3D contactless measurement capability with the purchase of UK based Physical Digital.

Guillaume Caroit, Trescal’s CEO, stated: “These acquisitions reflect our strategy to support our clients around the world and our goal is to triple our size in the APAC countries by 2022 and to continue with the consolidation of the US market." Since being acquired by OMERS in 2018, Trescal Group has made 21 acquisitions thus rapidly accelerating its international development strategy. Founded in 1982, KTICC employs 57 people and has a turnover of 5.3 million euros. KTICC is accredited by the Korea Laboratory Accreditation Scheme and has developed expertise in fibre optics, electrical (DC/LF/RF), gas detection, dimensional and temperature. IPAC Solutions services clients from the food and life sciences industries and its main technical expertise is in temperature, humidity, pressure and flow, most of which is carried out on-site. This latest acquisition is complementarity with ACS, the first acquisition made by Trescal in Australia in 2019 and further strengthens their single-source offering for the Australian market. The acquisition of IAM, who were founded in 1997 and located in Manaus, strengthens Trescal’s presence in the Amazonas State following the acquisition of Setting in June last year. IAM employs 16 people, has a turnover of 0.5 million euros and provides in-house and on-site metrology services in seven accredited parameters.
