First-hand expertise at the biggest ever analytica Vietnam

analytica Vietnam 2019 in Ho Chi Minh City will be celebrating not just its tenth anniversary but also its biggest trade fair event yet. Approximately 130 exhibitors from 15 countries will be on show in the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) from April 3 to 5, 2019. The exhibition area has grown by around one third compared with 2017. analytica Vietnam is the country's foremost industry platform for laboratory technology, analysis, biotechnology and diagnostics. Awaiting the trade fair visitor alongside Vietnamese and international exhibitors' product highlights is a comprehensive supporting program comprising the analytica Vietnam conference, tutorials, buyer-seller meetings and lab safety shows, entirely focused on knowledge transfer.

The 2019 trade fair exhibitors include national and international industry giants such as Agilent, Eppendorf, Merck, Metrohm, Mettler Toledo, Shimadzu, Saigon Instruments and Waters. Germany, China and Singapore will be represented with their own country pavilions. "We are pleased that this year's analytica Vietnam will be bigger than ever before. The opportunity to exchange expertise being extremely highly rated by participants in previous events, once again this year we have crafted an extensive supporting program with the focus on scientific dialog", explains Gabriele Kraus, Executive Director of event organizer IMAG.

Prestigious international speakers will explore topical industry issues in their scientific context and present the findings from the latest studies at the analytica Vietnam conference taking place on April 3 and 4 in parallel with the trade fair. For example, in his speech, Prof. Dr. Ralf Zimmermann of the University of Rostock will be looking at new chemical and biological analytical techniques in air quality research. Prof. Dr. Pham Hung Viet of Vietnam National University in Hanoi will be presenting a study on micro-plastics in the environment. Prof. John McLean of Vanderbuilt University in Nashville will be giving an overview of pioneering developments in systems biology.

There will also be two practical tutorials on laboratory working practices on both days of the conference. The two half-day workshops "Fundamentals of Quality Assurance in the Analytical Laboratory" and "Automated Sample Preparation for LC/MS and GC/MS in food, forensic and materials research analysis" are directed at laboratory staff and students and require advance registration.

The Exhibitor Forum, yet another plank of the supporting program, provides exhibitors with a platform for presenting their products and services live and in detail. Once again there will be an impressive experimental presentation twice daily by asecos on laboratory health and safety and the correct storage of dangerous substances.

Participation in both the trade fair and supporting program is free of charge for visitors.
