Bieler + Lang Extend Headquarters and Increase Their Manufacturing and Servicing Capabilities
Mar 16 2018
World renowned gas detection specialists Bieler + Lang has recently extended its headquarter building at Achern, their home town since the company’s foundation in 1967. Now the German company can finally house their entire team at the Von Drais Street location in the west of the city.
Managing director, Susanne Dussa stated, "We are very happy that we are all back under one roof, " The approximately 1000 square meters large plant will be divided in half, split between the production facilities and the administrative and social areas of the firm. Until recently, the team worked in the original building in Achern, and another in the nearby town of Renchen. "The extension was urgently needed," says Susanne Dussa. "Now we all sit together again. This is an important boost towards our goal, of further improving both our products’ quality and customer service. The much improved facilities have allowed 24 Bieler + Lang employees to unite with the rest of the team in Achern.
Bieler + Lang has invested a good two million euros in the expansion. The construction project was funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The two-storey extension was built according to plans of local architect Manfred Waßmer. "We have made a clearly visible commitment to the town Achern and the region", says Susanne Dussa. "The future of our company is here - in the middle of Baden. Here we are at home, here we have become what we are. "
Bieler + Lang can now continue to grow as one of the most innovative manufacturers of gas detection and warning systems. The products will continue to be developed, manufactured and calibrated in Achern for the foreseeable future, just as they have been for the last half century. The extra capacity will help them with further expansion to their highly successful instruments, which can be found all over the world in a wide range of locations ranging from biogas plants, construction sites, parking garages and research labs.
