Air Quality Monitoring
Transport chief set to give speech on air quality
Mar 08 2011
Mr Baker will address Sussex locals on March 11th at a hotel at Gatwick Airport, Redhill and Reigate Life reports.
A group known as Sussex-air, which was derived from the Sussex Air Quality Partnership, has organised the event.
The organisation was formed ten years ago in a bid to keep issues surrounding air quality at the forefront of locals' minds.
Members work alongside Sussex Council in finding ways to cut down on pollution and thus adhering to the Environment Act of 1995.
Recently, the group demonstrated its commitment to improving air quality by launching a Sussex-air iPhone app.
Mobile phone users can use the application to receive notifications about the air quality in their particular part of Sussex and owners can also use map functions to see the best and worst places for pollution.
