The perfect storm: Geneva to host leading hydro-meteorological trade fair and international conference

Meteorological Technology World Expo, now in it’s 9th year, has firmly established itself as the largest international trade fair for professional hydrometeorological observation and prediction tools. The trade fair and linked conference are dedicated to showcasing the latest, next-generation climate measurement and forecasting technologies and services and regularly attracts around 200 exhibiting companies and 4,000 attendees from over 100 countries. This event will be held at Palexpo, Geneva from 5th to 7th June.

The exhibition will showcase the very latest hardware and software systems as well as service providers for a global community of key decision makers within multiple weather-critical industries: aviation, shipping, marine, highway, construction, agriculture, power generation, mining, military and many more!

It’s the perfect place for research scientists, national network operators, operational management, purchasing chiefs and engineers to find new technologies and turn-key solutions from leading providers, to benefit the advancement of safety and/or risk in public and private life.

The event will also include a free-to-attend conference, including presentations on the latest technologies in hydrology, meteorology and climatology projects and solutions. The conference will take place inside the exhibition hall and will run throughout the three days of the expo. Attendees can pick and choose which sessions they would like to attend, and then spend the rest of their time in the exhibition searching for new technologies or services.

In 2019 the event will host an additional new wave of visitors thanks to the expo being timed to take place while the WMO’s Congress, which attracts the most senior public-sector, national weather service executives, is in progress in Geneva.

Entrance to both the exhibition and the conference – which is located within the exhibition – is free. Visitors can register for their free entry code by going to the event’s web site – www.meteorolgicaltechnologyworldexpo.com/en/register.php
