New ATEX approved gas sampling coolers for Zone 2
Nov 12 2019
AGT-PSG, world renowned supplier and specialist of gas sampling and conditioning equipment, now offers, in addition to its BCR05 compressor coolers series which provides safe and reliable gas analysis in ATEX zone 1, two new coolers for ATEX zone 2. BCR02 is available with one or two gas paths in one single or dual heat exchanger, BCR03 can be equipped up to 4 gas paths with two dual heat exchangers.
All coolers are designed and manufactured according to the latest ATEX- EN2014/34/EU guidelines and certified by DEKRA. These high performance and low maintenance coolers are especially designed for continuous extractive gas analysis. They serve primarily for an exact, constant lowering of the sample gas’ dew point and thus for drying of the humid sample gas flow. In this way water vapour cross sensitivities and volumetric errors are reliably minimised and damage to the sensitive analyser is avoided.
The precise proportional temperature control, in combination with the long-lasting hot-gas bypass system and the high-performance heat exchangers, achieve low and extremely constant dew points. In addition, load fluctuations and high thermal stress are compensated reliably. The two mono or dual heat exchangers with one or two gas paths each are built in a solid aluminum cylinder which ensures an optimal energy exchange between sample gas and cooling medium. Moreover, the aluminum cylinder is an effective cold storage unit that supports the compensation of unfavorable operating conditions. The coolers are equipped with transferable heat exchangers which facilitates easy replacement without having to dismantle the device. For drying of explosive sample gas AGT-PSG manufacture heat exchangers made of stainless steel for integration within tubed systems. As alternatives, PVDF or glass are also available as heat-exchanger materials.
AGT-PSG offers the full range of ATEX products, from the gas sampling probe, the heated sample line - all the way up to the gas conditioning / cooling system.
