Reagent-Free Monitoring of COD on Wastewater Treatment Plants

Jul 14 2016

For monitoring inlet and outlet of a wastewater treatment plant, COD is an established parameter. With the spectral sensors of WTW, COD can be measured continuously and reagent-free. This enables the operator to have full transparency of his outlet levels. Besides COD, also BOD, TOC, DOC and SAC can be covered. In addition to these carbon parameters, NO3, NO2 and UVT can be monitored with the respective sensor model (e.g. CarboVis 701 IQ).

All spectral sensors are equipped with an integrated ultrasonic cleaning, which leads to low maintenance and low costs-of-ownership. As up to 5 different parameters can be measured and display simultaneously on our new controller system 282/284, installation effort is kept to a minimum.

All data can be logged within the controller and transferred to PC or PLC via USB, web browser function or 5 different fieldbus protocols.
