Water/Wastewater
IET will exhibit at IFAT Munich 2024
Mar 22 2024
Readers of International Environmental Technology involved in process measurement as well as water and wastewater monitoring may be interested to learn that we will be exhibiting at this year’s IFAT Munich, which will be held on May 13-17th at Messe München.
Held every two years, IFAT Munich is the world’s largest trade fair for the water, wastewater, recycling and municipal technology sectors, attracting more than 3,000 exhibitors and 120,000 visitors to each edition of the show. A thoroughly international conference and exhibition, more than half of this year’s exhibitors will be from outside of Germany and almost all talks will be conducted in English.
In 2024, IFAT Munich’s conference programme will be star-studded and packed full of insights that you won’t hear anywhere else. Opening the conference on Monday with talks by Germany’s Federal Environment Minister Steffi Lemke and Bavarian State Minister for the Environment and Consumer Protection Torsten Glauber, EU leaders will join a panel on the European Green Deal later in the week and then, to close out the show, representatives from municipalities across the continent will discuss environmental resilience. The main themes of this year’s conference include digitalisation in water-wastewater monitoring and municipal waste management, sewage transport and treatment as well as material flow management. Organised into a number of separate parallel programmes, of particular interest to our readers will be the Blue Stage, which will focus on water, sustainable and climate-adapted water management, water reuse and energy-efficient wastewater treatment plants and the Orange Stage highlights circular economy & resource efficiency, material flow management as well as municipal technology and waste management.
Regardless of whether you are a global player or a medium-sized company, a large city or a small municipality, specialized in water management or recycling, IFAT Munich places a clear focus on the needs of the municipal and private sectors—both in the exhibition and in the program. What is involved in sustainable water and wastewater infrastructure? How can one drive the circular economy? What will make process chains even more efficient? At IFAT Munich, you’ll get the answers as well as tailored solutions and products for your daily challenges.
Getting there couldn’t be easier. Indeed, there’s a regular shuttle to the conference hall from nearby Munich Airport, which accommodates over 650 flights every day from 15 domestic destinations, over 150 European destinations and nearly 50 global destinations, including Helsinki, Cairo, Tel Aviv, Dublin, Abu Dhabi, and Riyadh. European attendees are encouraged to travel by train to the well-connected Munich Central Station, which runs around 250 long-distance trains every day, including direct services from Paris, Budapest, Salzburg, Bologna and Zurich, dropping you off only 20 minutes by metro from the conference hall.
International Environmental Technology will be exhibiting in Hall C1 at Stand 509. This is the main hall for process measurement, control technologies, analysis and laboratory techniques of water and wastewater. To learn more and to register for the event, click here. See you there!
