ISO 15705: Approved COD Cuvette Tests
Apr 13 2009
HACH LANGE now offers two more tests alongside the familiar COD products. The ISO COD cuvette tests are ISO 15705 compliant.
The ready-to-use round cuvettes are made of special optical glass and contain exactly the right amounts of reagents.
To carry out an analysis, the sample simply has to be pipetted into the cuvette. The closed cuvette system and the minimal amount of reagents guarantees maximum safety for the user and the environment.
The cuvette test achieves savings of more than 90 % of the environmentally harmful chemicals used by the previous method: potassium dichromate, sulphuric acid, silver and mercury. Used cuvettes can also be recycled, in the HACH LANGE Environment Centre.
The HACH LANGE Recycling Centre is located at the company’s European headquarters in Germany. A fast and efficient collection system has been established to meet the needs of UK customers.
The Recycling Centre facilitates recovery of toxic materials from HACH LANGE reagent tubes including, for example, COD tubes from which Mercury, Silver and Chromium are recovered.
Over 70% of returned materials are either re-used or recycled.
