Flow Monitoring for trade effluent discharge

Detectronic return to WWEM featuring the latest version of their successful multi sensor flow monitor (MSFM), the remote communicating MSFM Series 2 ultrasonic flow monitor. In addition stand visitors can see the compact MFSM lite, DET5 CM fixed site flow monitor and live analysis software.
Widely used by water utilities, contractors and regulatory bodies, the MSFM is an area velocity flow meter that offers accurate flow measurement in sewers, industrial effluent discharges and open channels. The ultrasonic flow monitor has advanced features such as a debris shedding sensor, long-life Lithium-ion battery and an accessible architecture where all components can be removed in seconds. The unit is packaged on a compact, robust and corrosion resistant chassis.
Frequently employed in studies supporting integrated pollution prevention and control (IPPC), Detectronic equipment is ideal for trade effluent discharge monitoring for Environment Agency compliance. Industries such as paper, brewing and food production are typical IPPC survey subjects. Flow survey contractors also commonly employ these instruments for whole catchment area hydrological surveys to model drainage performance. Stored data is reliably uploaded daily via the GSM phone network. For data analysis the system is fully compatible with FloWorks, GoData, Clarifica, Infoworks and other leading modelling programs.
Recognising that units may be employed in potentially explosive situations MSFM units have ATEX/IECEx approval. Pioneers in this technology, several Detectronic staff each have over 20 years experience in the industry with applications knowledge that they will be happy to share with visitors. Research and development director Dr Keith Kirby and commercial director David Walker will be presenting workshops on days one and two.
