World's Smallest Cross-Stack TDL Analysers Launched

Servomex has launched the SERVOTOUGH Laser 3 Plus range, the world’s smallest cross-stack Tunable Diode Laser (TDL) gas analysers which can be specifically optimized for combustion, ammonia slip and process control applications.

The new Combustion version is the latest addition to the range and can be optimised for O2, CO, or for a combination of CO and CH4 measurements. The Combustion CO and Combustion CO+CH4 models are a must for safety and control applications in gas-fired, oil-fired and coal-fired processes. They can monitor CO in flue gas to trim oxygen levels and optimise combustion efficiency and safety. The CO+CH4 version will also monitor light-off and running conditions to maximise safety.

The Combustion O2 version is optimised to measure oxygen in flue gas to control oxygen levels and optimize combustion efficiency. Uniquely, it uses up to two absorbance lines to measure oxygen from ambient to 1500oC, utilising air or nitrogen purge gases.

The Process O2 and CO versions monitor oxygen and carbon monoxide in processes where such monitoring is vital for the safe, efficient and reliable running of the process, and is essential for safety applications. Using Servomex’s own cuvette line lock technology, it offers the most reliable solution for safety applications.

Working in gas-fired, oil-fired and coal-fired processes, the emissions control Laser 3 Plus monitors ammonia slip in catalytic or non-catalytic NOX reduction systems, and is a must for low measurement ppm applications.

All versions offer the benefits of fast response times, simple installation, low maintenance, annual verification, no contact with the process and average measurement across the process.

Rhys Jenkins, Photometric Product Manager at Servomex, said: “Based around Servomex’s revolutionary Laser 3 Plus platform developed at our UK Technical Centre, the Laser 3 Plus analyzer range is a remarkable ninety per cent smaller and eighty per cent lighter than many other comparable TDL analyzers, while offering improved measurement availability and safety integration.

“As a consequence, the Laser 3 Plus’s compact size and dramatically reduced footprint offers unparalleled installation flexibility and a host of cost and performance benefits.”

Targeted at gas analysis in the hydrocarbon processing, fired process and power generation market sectors, the Laser 3 Plus is an upgrade of Servomex’s MiniLaser range.

The Laser 3 Plus analysers join the SERVOTOUGH Laser range of TDL analyzers, providing the same industry-leading performance delivered by Servomex’s in-situ cross stack and extractive monitors.
