Taking on the Challenge of Phosphate in Wastewater

The removal of Phosphate from the effluent of a sewage works is an essential part of the UK urban wastewater and related directives. Many more treatment works have Phosphorus discharge consents, but with the continuing high levels of Phosphate in untreated water staying within consent is a continuing problem. Partech Instruments (UK) has developed a closed  loop feed forward control inlet dosing system for the removal of Phosphate that is now being used by water companies throughout the UK. The MicroMac C analyser incorporates a loop flow
analysis (LFA) system a highly flexible technique that allows the analyser to cope with the high level of background Turbidity associated with raw sewage.
