New Handheld Metals Analyser Boosts Portfolio of XRF and OES Analysers

Oxford Instruments plc (UK) have announced recently the acquisition of RMG Technology Ltd. RMG’s revolutionary Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) system will add to its existing techniques of X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) and Optical Emission Spectroscopy (OES) to offer customers in the scrap recycling industry an extended range of metal analysers to suit every requirement. The addition of RMG’s exciting new mPulse handheld analyser to the product range opens up new markets and truly makes Oxford Instruments the first choice in metals analysis with its innovative and unique metals analysis technique. LIBS offers enhanced ease of use, ultra fast analysis and truly light weight rugged portability.
RMG will become part of the Oxford Instruments Industrial Analysis Division based near Oxford in the UK.
