Groundwater monitoring
New Office Opened in New Zealand
Oct 27 2012
Van Walt Limited (UK), specialist environmental equipment suppliers, has opened a new rental and sales operation in Wanaka, New Zealand. The UK company, which offers groundwater monitoring, soil sampling, water quality meters, sediment samplers and water level loggers to rent or buy, has enjoyed business growth through the success and resilience of its customers and sees New Zealand, with its continued commitment to improved environmental performance, as key to its business growth in the future.
“The rest of the world holds New Zealand in high esteem for its environmental and green credentials,” said Vincent van Walt, Director. “And a country that puts so much emphasis on its clean green reputation is a place where opportunities exist for a business like ours.”
Initially Van Walt New Zealand will be offering environmental equipment to rent. YSI and Aquaread Water Quality Meters; Diver Water Level Loggers from Schlumberger Water Services; Eijkelkamp Peristaltic Pumps and Geotech Bladder Pumps and Controllers are some of the items available from express rental periods up to ‘however long you need it’, with substantial discounts for items rented for longer periods.
We will also be offering some of our core soil, groundwater and sediment sampling equipment for purchase.
Running the new office is Dirk van Walt who made New Zealand his home seven years ago and brings a wealth of experience and craftsmanship to the role. “Since the moment I arrived in this country I could tell there would be opportunities for anyone involved in the environmental sector,” said Dirk. “Now after rigorous training; tried and tested systems employed in the UK for over 30 years in place here in Wanaka; a lot of hard work and a high level of customer service and onsite support for the local environmental and groundwater monitoring community, I believe Van Walt New Zealand will go from strength to strength.”
