Gas detection enhanced by augmented and virtual reality

Sensitron, part of the Halma Group and operational for 36 years, is globally recognised as a leading name in gas detection. This innovative company has adopted cutting-edge digital technologies, including Augmented Reality (AR) and metaverse (VR), to provide customers with an immersive and interactive experience to customers and end-users.

Augmented reality aims to enhance customers' experience by adopting the technology to offer an immersive three-dimensional view of Sensitron’s products; customers can now examine the detectors in detail from every angle. In addition to the product, information and technical data were also added via infographics. This allows end users to use augmented reality as a training tool, with an AR detector simply available by opening Instagram.

With the metaverse, Sensitron is diving into the digital future by creating virtual spaces. In the metaverse, you will find the "Sensitron HUB," a comprehensive virtual environment with all the information about who Sensitron is and what it does. Here, visitors can explore product information, certifications and gas detection details. It is a comprehensive and interactive information centre representing Sensitron's commitment to transparency and knowledge sharing.

Application spaces representing the applications of gas detectors have also been created. Gas is a versatile element with a wide range of applications, whether industrial, commercial, marine, or building... In these virtual spaces, recreated from real-world contexts, including a parking lot and a pharmaceutical chemical environment that can already be explored, it is possible to read more specific information about how the products are used.

Sensitron is determined to stay abreast of the digital revolution and take advantage of the opportunities offered by augmented reality and the metaverse to improve communication with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
