PVL is pleased to announce the availability of the Torrix XTS fill level sensor from Fanfir, world renown specialists in sensors and systems for monitoring and measuring fill levels. The Torrix XTS is maintenance-free and needs no recalibration, so ownerships costs are kept to a minimum..
The Torrix XTS is ideal for a host of level measurement applications and, in addition to performing pure level measurement of the product and/or interface layer, also offers the options of measuring temperature and density. Operators can easily set an integrated LCD display to indicate their chosen parameters.
Different versions of the probe tube provide an extensive range of possible applications. This device can be used with a standard 12millimetre tube, a bypass version or a flexible probe with a length of up to 22 metres.
The Torrix XTS also features a stainless-steel sensor head housing providing IP68 protection, a safety glass display cover and it operates at temperatures ranging from -20 to + 85 °C, or - 55 to + 85 °C with heating. The probe tube is made of stainless steel with available lengths between 600mm to 22,000mm. The instrument’s accuracy level is ±0.3 mm or ±0.01 %, with resolution (HART®) of 0.1 mm. Electrical connection is via a cable gland or conduit and its operating voltage is Ex ia 12 to 30 VDC; Ex d 12 to 50 VDC. The output signal is 4 to 20 mA (2 wire)/HART®-protocol, RS-485 (4 wire)/Modbus or Fafnir’s Universal Device Protocol. Torrix XTS operates in process conditions with temperatures up to + 450 °Cm, and pressure between -1 bar to +120 bar. This device Ex-Zone 0 (ATEX, IECEx) approved, so it is suited to operation in the most hazardous industrial environments where gases, vapours and mists are present.
