10-Year Life Carbon Monoxide Sensor
Jul 15 2013
Nemoto Sensor Engineering Co. Ltd (Netherlands) have announced the launch of a new electrochemical Carbon Monoxide gas sensor for use in residential (home) gas detectors, combined sensor type fire detectors, and air quality monitors. The sensor benefits from a warranted 10-year lifetime when used in a residential or light commercial environment, and the advanced, 3-electrode design of the NAP-508 ensures compliance with all relevant standards for CO detectors such as UL2034 and EN 50291 at low cost.
Nemoto's porous electrode technology results in excellent overall signal stability, whilst the compact, low-profile (only 8mm high) design of the NAP-508 is the result of an innovative electrolyte management system, which ensures the device will be leak-proof throughout it’s working life.
To assist the detector designer, the NAP-505 is supplied complete with its own PCB sockets, often a costly extra component to buy, and the device may be soldered directly to a PCB as any other component, further enhancing the manufacturing cost effectiveness and convenience of the NAP-508.
