New Motionscout: Next Generation Stand-alone Personal Alert Safety System

MSA announces the next generation of stand-alone personal alert safety systems called motionSCOUT. It detects the cessation of bodilymovement and activates an automatic alarm.
For enhanced safety the alarmcan be activatedmanually as well. The highly visible LEDs and an alarmvolume of at least 95 dB help to locate the person in danger. The sensitive, electronic motion sensor recognises all body movements. A bi-colour LED clearly shows the readiness of the unit, green proving the functionality and red for low battery indication.
motionSCOUT features an excellent cost-performance-ratio. It is built to withstand the toughest environments. Several approvals and tests prove the robust and watertight [IP67] design. motionSCOUT is very simple to use and is maintenance-free, only needing to replace the standard and cost effective AA batteries when required. The operating time is extremely high being >200 hours, same as the alarm time of
10 hours continuous sound.
motionSCOUT can be easily affixed to the shoulder strap or hip belt. An easy-to-use key version [switch ON by pulling out the key], a version with manual alarm reset function, as well as an optional temperature sensor are available.
motionSCOUT is not just highly suitable for Fire and Rescue operations, but also urban search and rescue, tunnel surveying and many more industrial applications. In general, motionSCOUT is highly valuable wherever a person works alone, for example, tank cleaning, in high rack warehouses or in silos.
