Rugged and Reliable Gas Detector Ideal for Use in Confined Spaces

Jan 29 2014

GMI’s (UK) PS200, is a rugged, reliable multi-gas detector ideal for use in a wide range of applications to include hot works and confined spaces. Both lightweight and durable, the portable instrument monitors up to four hazardous gas conditions simultaneously using catalytic bead sensor technology for combustible gases and electrochemical sensors for carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulphide, and oxygen deficiency. Operator interface and calibration are intuitive and easy by simply toggling between one-button functions.

A large LCD screen displays battery life, real-time gas concentrations in ppm, and concentration of oxygen and LEL by percentage. Alarm options include vibration, flashing LEDs, and audible buzzer. Standard features include: a manual screen backlight for poor lighting conditions, customised user identification code setup, calibration due date display, and data logging that can be downloaded via USB connection to a computer.

To ensure the highest level of personal safety the PS200 is fitted with an optional man down/motion sensor that activates alarms if the instrument is not moved at a pre-set time.  The instrument is also fitted with an optional built in remote sampling pump perfect for confined space entry. Also available is the PS200 Auto Bump/Calibration station and the PS200 5-Way Charger.
