Ex ‘d’ Certified Sensor Housing Accomodates a Range of Sensor Types and Sizes
Jul 17 2014
The GSH4 Ex ‘d’ certified stainless steel sensor housings from Dynament (UK) will accomodate a range of sensor types and sizes. Although primarily designed for use by Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s) to house the Dynament range of industry standard Infrared Gas Sensors, they can also accomodate electrochemical, pellistor and PID sensors in both 20mm x 16mm (nominal) and 32mm x 16mm (nominal) sizes. The housings have tamperproof protection but can be opened using a key to gain access to the plug-in sensor thereby simplifying maintenance. A sinter type flame arrestor within the cover is used to allow diffusion of the gas into the housing.
A range of accessories is available including various gas sampling adaptors and a stainless steel rain guard to protect the sensor in wet environments or areas subjected to hosing down. The rain guard is fitted with a gas sampling facility for easy calibration.
The housings have both ATEX and IECEx component certification Ex d IIC T4 Gb for use within an ambient temperature range of -20 to +60 degrees C.
They can be used with separately certified, industry standard junction boxes or OEM gas detector enclosures and are supplied with thread sizes of either M20, M25, 1/2” NPT-14 or 3/4” NPT-14 to allow them to be screwed into and terminated within a suitable seperately certified housing.
They are for use with separately certified, industry standard junction boxes or OEM gas detector enclosures.
