Gas Analyser
A great opportunity to talk to emission monitoring experts awaits you in Barcelona
Jul 17 2023
Visitors attending CEM 23 will have the opportunity to meet with Dr. Foedisch's team of emission specialists. With their extensive expertise in process and environmental engineering, coupled with in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of environmental legislation, Dr. Foedisch provides customers with tailored and optimal analytical solutions.
Among the highlights at the Dr. Foedisch booth will be their recently launched MGA 20 Cold gas analyser. This state-of-the-art instrument uses infrared (IR) technology to measure pollutants in flue gas precisely and enable smooth process control. The MGA 20 uses a high-precision infrared photometer to determine the concentration of up to 8 gas components via infrared absorption. Oxygen measurement can be configured using an electrochemical cell, zirconium dioxide sensors, or paramagnetic sensors. The MGA 20 is currently undergoing QAL1 certification to comply with DIN EN 15267-1 (2009), DIN EN 15267-2 (2009), and DIN EN 15267-3.
The MGA 20 boasts a range of advanced features, including a 7" touchscreen colour display and an app-based menu for easy navigation. It offers automatic zero-point setting using ambient air, eliminating the necessity to use compressed air. The inclusion of Filtercal technology allows for reference point adjustment without gas consumption. With its high sensitivity due to an optical path length, remote access, and an internal pump - with an optional external pump, the MGA 20 offers hassle-free and dependable emission analysis.
In addition to the MGA20, Dr. Foedisch will also showcase their iFiD portable hydrocarbon analyser which has been designed to provide simple, precise, and reliable measurements of Total Hydrocarbon (HC) concentration in industrial and laboratory environments. This state-of-the-art instrument includes a user-friendly 7" touch panel TFT, with a clear graphic display of HC concentration. Users can seamlessly measure HC concentration without the need to switch between different ranges, simplifying the process considerably.
The iFiD incorporates a heated integrated sample gas filter, capable of reaching temperatures of up to 300°C to ensure efficient and reliable gas filtration and improve measurement accuracy. The iFiD analyser includes built-in internal data logging functionality, enabling operators to easily store and retrieve measurement data using a USB stick. Users have the option to integrate a zero gas generator within the analyser, eliminating the need for external equipment and making the iFiD easier to carry. Additionally, iFiD features an internal response factor correction mechanism, ensuring precise and consistent measurements even in challenging environments.
Designed for portability and versatility, the iFiD Portable Hydrocarbon Analyser, as the name suggests, operates by using a Flame-Ionisation-Detector (FID) for total hydrocarbon measurements. Its lightweight and compact design makes it ideal for applications involving daily changing measuring points or short-term measurement projects.
