Automated Reader for QUANTOFIX Test Strips

MACHEREY-NAGEL (Germany) recently launched the new QUANTOFIX Relax test strip reader. This new instrument is a revolutionary step in test strip analysis. With the new system, MACHEREY-NAGEL offers an entirely objective way to read QUANTOFIX test strips, making the system particularly suitable if results are critical to decision making. The instrument simplifies testing procedures and the decision processes by eliminating the subjectivity of visual readings and by providing higher accuracy. Especially if large numbers of strips are to be tested, the QUANTOFIX Relax helps and supports with easy data administration and quick testing procedures. Additionally, the QUANTOFIX Relax allows users to get actual quantitative results – no gradation and estimation of in-between values are necessary.

The QUANTOFIX Relax is designed for optimised usability to provide customers with higher efficiency, time and cost-savings.
The inbuilt auto-start function enables measurements without pressing any buttons, thus making test strips analysis quick, clean and particularly safe for the user. The bright graphic display shows all relevant information at one glance and can be navigated intuitively using the touch screen and the clear menu guidance.

Of course, the QUANTOFIX Relax features all standard interface options, such as an RS232 and USB connection for easy data transfer and update. Together with the memory function for up to 200 results, the instrument provides a complete package for data administration, giving users a high level of confidence and safety.
Another unique feature of the QUANTOFIX Relax is the built in printer. All results can be printed directly after measurements or afterwards from the memory. Users can file all results and document their measurements without manual transcription, thus significantly improving quality control process in terms of speed, convenience and reliability.

The following QUANTOFIX tests can currently be run on the instrument: Ammonium, Ascorbic acid, Glucose, Nitrate / Nitrite, Nitrite, Peracetic acid 50 / 500 / 2000, Peroxide 25 / 100 / 1000, Sulfite.

Additionally the instrument can read our pH-Fix 6.0-10.0 pH test strip. More strips will be added to the instrument over time.
Of course, switching between tests is simple and fast, as 5 tests can be defined in an easy to access favorites menu. Users can therefore change tests within seconds, increasing user friendliness and time savings even more.

An additional benefit of the QUANTOFIX Relax is that it can read the normal QUANTOFIX test strips on the instrument. No special strips are required and no extra costs are hidden anywhere. Thus, the system becomes highly transparent in terms of costs and allows customers to plan efficiently.
