Don't Miss Your Chance to Attend the International Conference on Mercury as a Global Pollutant
Jun 15 2022
The 15th International Conference on Mercury as a Global Pollutant (ICMGP), themed 'Reducing Mercury Emissions to Achieve a Greener World', will run as a virtual event from 25th to 29th July 2022. Presentations will also be available online after the conference for all registered delegates to revisit and reference after the event. Using our interactive platform, delegates will be able to ask presenters questions, whilst networking with other attendees and sponsoring companies.
For many years, one of the major goals of ICMGP has been to increase the participation of under-represented groups. As a part of this mission, members of such groups will be eligible for a grant to attend ICMGP 2022 – but the deadline is fast approaching. For information on eligibility and how to apply, click here.
As part of global efforts to tackle mercury as an environmental pollutant, this conference will focus primarily on the implementation of solutions to reduce emissions and exposure – in particular, speakers will consider the progress of the Minamata Convention in various parts of the world. In general, though, ICMGP 2022 will bring together representatives from industry, government, research institutions, NGOs and academia to explore, across more than thirty seminars, all of the various methods for achieving a low-mercury society. To get a sense of the conference’s breadth and to plan your week ahead of time, check out the full conference timetable.
And if you’d like to get even more out of ICMGP 2022, consider attending some of our supplementary workshops in the week before the main event (19th-21st July). When completing your registration for ICMGP 2022, just make sure to indicate your interest in attending these earlier sessions. Then, you’ll be taken to a page where you can check the timing for the workshops and identify which of the offerings will fit your schedule. These virtual workshops offer the unique opportunity to interact directly with the sessions’ high-profile leads, amongst them representatives from PCO and the United Nations Environment Programme. Registration closes on 8th July.
Throughout the week of ICMGP 2022, where exhibitors will showcase new equipment to measure environmental mercury, as well the latest technology helping to reduction the emission of and exposure to mercury worldwide.
