Cloud Controller Ready for Use from the Box
Sep 26 2013
Conlab Pty Ltd (Australia) the developers of the ZigSense line of wireless sensors are pleased to announce the release of their ZigSense Cloud Controller to the Australian market.
A cloud controller is designed from the ground up to support internet based SCADA applications where data from remote ZigSense wireless sensors is uploaded to a secured web site.
A ZigSense Cloud Controller is fully integrated with the ZigCloud online back-end management system to provide a complete system ready for use right out of the box.
To gain access from anywhere at any time all that a user needs is a standard web browser, smartphone, iPAD, Laptop or PC. Once connected to ZigCloud there is need for SCADA, HMI or additional PCs.
Data generated by sensors, both live and historic, is immediately available on your web browser. An authorised user can access multiple controller sites from a single online login session to monitor data and generate graphs, charts, and reports. Multiple alarm thresholds can be set for each monitored sensor. Alarm conditions may be set to generate alert messages via email, SMS or Voice calls. Local controller actions can be programmed to start or stop based on schedules, conditions or events making the ZigSense cloud controller act like a PLC. In addition to direct interface to ZigSense wireless sensors, the cloud controller can be interfaced to other Modbus ‘slave’ devices, or control its own local digital outputs supporting energy usage demand control strategy.
Connecting a ZigSense cloud controller to a secured ZigCloud web site is a simple task which does not compromise system security and is available at an incredible low cost.
Uploading sensors data can be achieved via the built-in Ethernet port or its optional built-in 3G modem, or both. The built-in 3G modem enables the cloud controller to transfer data to the web in situations were no physical Ethernet connection is available. An optional built-in GPS modem and antenna makes the cloud controller an attractive solution for monitoring environmental conditions in commercial logistics applications such as trucks, containers and railways.
