Klaeffling to take the helm at Analytik Jena
Mar 14 2023
The Endress+Hauser Group have announced that Oliver Klaeffling will be taking over as the new managing director of Analytik Jena, effective February 1, 2023. Ulrich Krauss, the current managing director, has decided to pursue other opportunities outside of the company.
Krauss, who joined the Analytik Jena management team in 2015 and became managing director in 2016, will be greatly missed. CEO of the Endress+Hauser Group, Matthias Altendorf, said, "We would like to express our thanks to Mr Krauss for his commitment, in particular leading and overseeing the extensive reorganization processes at Analytik Jena, which contributed to the success of the Endress+Hauser Group."
Klaeffling, a 53-year-old industrial engineering graduate from the Technical University of Berlin’s school of technical chemistry, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He has spent the last 19 years working in various positions for pharmaceutical company Merck, with his most recent position as head of the Merck Innovation Center in Darmstadt, Germany.
Altendorf stated, "We are convinced that Mr Klaeffling will continue to grow and lead Analytik Jena into a solid future." Klaeffling will have the support of the existing five-member management team as he leads the company towards Endress+Hauser's strategic goal of supporting customers from the lab to production. The Group is currently investing 50 million euros in a modern company campus in Jena-Göschwitz, Germany and a new production facility is to be built in Ilmenau, Germany, at a cost of 27 million euros.
