A1-CBISS CEMS Site Scoops STA’s Golden Stack Award

It was a case of honour’s shared at this years’ awards evening for the STA’s “Golden Stack Award”. Ferrybridge EfW and Wilton EfW facilities shared the privilege of winning the 2017 award. Sam Thorneycroft, General Manager of a1-cbiss was there to collect the award on behalf of Ferrybridge. Sam was delighted because not only was his nomination an eventual winner but both sites have a1-cbiss CEM systems installed on their stacks.

The Golden Stack Award is presented to the process operator who has made significant efforts to drive safe conditions to ensure the safety, welfare and comfort of stack testers in the field.

The award is designed to recognise those operators who have gone the extra mile to protect and assist our members in their work on site, which is often carried out in demanding and uncomfortable conditions.

The Golden Stack Award was presented at the Air Quality and Emissions Show’s Gala Dinner which took place at the International Exhibition Centre in Telford on the evening of Wednesday 24th May.

The Air Quality and Emissions Show took place in Telford on 24th and 25th May with a focus on industrial emissions and stack monitoring.
