Multiplex Industrial Gas System Installed in Saudi Arabian Aluminium Plant
May 03 2013
Unisearch Associates (Canada) recently delivered 8 of their 12-channel LasIR Multiplex Systems to Maaden Aluminium Company, based in Saudi Arabia.
These 8 analyser controllers will allow the plant to measure Hydrogen Fluoride at 76 different locations in the plant, still allowing room for 20 additional channels as spare. Previously Maaden’s technicians had needed 76 analysers to achieve this.
The Unisearch system was chosen not only because of the financial saving made – but also because of its robust design, ideal for an aluminium plant located in a desert, and the strength and reliability of its analyses. The laser is far more powerful than many other units available to the market, this allows accurate measurements to be even made over very long paths (over 1 Km) or in short paths in presence of significant dust loading, 15g/m3 and over. In addition, these units require no calibration and minimal maintenance.
