Air Monitoring
Accurate, Fast Response with Emissions Monitoring
Feb 15 2013
Tiger Optics (UK) introduced the world’s first commercial “Continuous Wave Cavity Ring-Down Spectroscopy” (CW CRDS) analyser in 2001. Their single and multi-component instruments can detect contaminants down to low parts-per-trillion concentrations and across a wide dynamic range in a variety of gas matrices. The list of detectable species includes many that are relevant to continuous emissions monitoring applications; including HCl, HF, H2S, HCN, NH3, N2O, CO, CO2, and CH4. The list of detectable species continues to increase as the company responds to customer needs with the development of new products. Approximately 1,500 robust Tiger units are now at work in such demanding environments as semiconductor fabrication plants, industrial and speciality gas manufacturing facilities, chemical plants, and the metrology institutes of 18 nations.
Tiger Optics instruments provide absolute accuracy, fast real-time response, high sensitivity, freedom from external calibration, exceptional ease of use and superior cost-of-ownership compared to other analysers.
Example environmental applications include continuous emissions monitoring, verification of fuel cell grade hydrogen quality, the long-term measurement of background greenhouse gases and the monitoring of their emission at source - methane from agricultural and landfill facilities for example - clean manufacturing, and the monitoring of indoor air quality.
