Air Monitoring
Particles Plus Nominated Twice for Awards at AQE 2022
Oct 26 2022
At this year’s Air Quality and Emissions (AQE) conference in Telford, a number of awards were given out for excellence in various aspects of air monitoring. To learn a little more about their products, partnerships and why they come to AQE, EnvirotechOnline took a walk around the exhibition floor to talk to some of the nominees.
We asked Ryan Anderson, a Business Development Manager at Particles Plus, for some more information about two of their new products, both of which were nominated for AQE’s Most Innovative Instrument, Product, or Digital Solution award.
“This year, we came to AQE with the AIRCARE monitor, one of the newer products from our line. It’s a thirty-channel optical particle counter (OPC), and it’s pretty inexpensive for an OPC. Nevertheless, it’s going to give you a very accurate reading of the size and distribution of all particles in the surrounding area.
Then, there’s our dual ambient OPC and CPC (condensation particle counter), which has all the same benefits as the AIRCARE, but coupled with a water-based pulse-CPC. That’s going to give us particle measurements down to five nanometres, particularly useful for measuring newer diesel particulates that are exhausting into the environment. Not to mention, this system is a lower-cost CPC option than what’s been available on the market so far.”
Based in Massachusetts, Particles Plus had to make a sizeable journey to be able to showcase at AQE 2022. Why take the effort?
“Well, we came to AQE because we saw probably one of the best line-ups of distributors, competitors, and overall attendees, here. It’s probably one of the best shows we’ve been to this year.”
In 2024, AQE will return bigger and better, graduating to the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham. For information on exhibiting at AQE 2024, click here.
