Gas dilution and generation by permeation
Aug 16 2018
ETG Risorse’s CAL G 100 gas calibration generator is designed to be extremely versatile and easy to use. Through the HMI (Human Machine Interface) the user will be able to generate the desired concentration, as well as other options such as dilution and moisture, in addition to being able to generate the gas from different sources, including the oven to permeation tube or via the appropriate input from the calibration cylinder.
The user-friendly software automatically calculates the concentration emitted from the instrument with extreme precision, thanks to the 2 installed mass flow controllers.
The instrument also monitors the humidity and temperature of the gas inside the instrument as well as the ambient temperature, with the temperature of the permeation oven being controlled by a microprocessor. .
The ETG calibrator has been assembled fully wired and ready to use, with the components in contact with the gas, such as pipes and valves, coated with non- reactive material possessing a low coefficient of friction, such as PTFE and PFA for specific uses in the laboratory. The ETG CAL G 100 is very user-friendly, and is driven by a fast and efficient ARM processor, supported by Windows CE7.
The user friendly interface enables operators to select dilution of the reference gas through a permeation tube or a gas cylinder. They can also select dilution ratios, whether they are generating a wet or dry gas – thanks to the in-built humidifier. Operators choose which compounds to generate through the ‘library user mode’, they also choose gas concentration – using permeation, flow – using the gas cylinder and whether they want to dilute or use the gas concentration from the cylinder or the permeation tube. Gas dilution is carried out with dry air or nitrogen, with a dilution ratio from 1 to 100 through the mass flow controllers, the outlet flow gas is diluted at 0-4000 cc/min
