The Prime Environmental Protection Fair for the Asian market

Jan 31 2014

The 9th Eco Expo Asia, taking place from 29 October – 1 November, is the Asian region’s one-stop destination for environmental protection solutions. The show serves as a premier platform for green business and making quality contacts with governments and companies of all sizes. The Expo attracts over ten thousand quality buyers while showcasing the latest innovations in the environmental protection industries from around the world. The exhibits are categorised as follows: Air Quality and Water Quality, Eco-friendly Products, Energy Efficiency & Energy, Green Building Solution & Service and Waste Management & Recycling.

As a gateway to accessing governmental resources in Asia, Eco Expo Asia 2013 received substantial support from various government bodies and trade associations, attracting over 600 government officials and representatives from the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong. With the Environmental Bureau of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region as the co-organiser, the fair offers unparalleled opportunities for B2G and B2B-focused businesses to connect with government officials as well as quality buyers from various commercial enterprises.

Environmental protection is currently one of the main focuses across Asia and the mission for creating a greener and energy-efficient region remains top priority. Renowned as a professional trade platform with abundant business opportunities, Eco Expo Asia is equipped with an unmatched advantage in reaching the region’s growing environmental markets:

Asia

The vast economic growth has intensified the need for green solutions in Asia. According to Green Prospects Asia, the region’s building market alone is likely to grow at a compounded rate of nearly 30%, benefiting other market participants across the value chain from the market size of USD 670 billion by 2015.

Chinese mainland

As the world’s largest manufacturing country, the Chinese mainland’s government is committed to cut its carbon output by over 40% by the year 2020. The country is also targeting to achieve an annual growth rate of 15% or higher for its green industry over the next two years, reaching USD 720 billion by 2015.

Hong Kong

Keenly aware of the high daily domestic waste per capita, the Hong Kong SAR Government aims to reduce the region’s disposal rate to 40% by 2022 through implementing a list of initiatives, and investing to construct infrastructure with ground-breaking technologies.
