Air Monitoring
Accurate and reliable vehicle emission measurement
Sep 28 2018
The accurate identification of urban pollution “hot spots” is of current concern to those involved in improving air quality. Cambustion’s range of gas analysers have been adapted for measurement of the transient “spikes” of emissions (especially NOx) from moving vehicles and their fast response time, combined with accurate GPS data, enables the identification of these polluting events with centimetre accuracy.
Typically, these occur at traffic intersections, speed bumps and motorway on-ramps where tailpipe emissions events (often of very short duration but significant extent) cause locally high levels of NOx to be produced. Specimen data and analyser hardware can be viewed at AQE stand 82
